Over Zoo FIV Ab/FeLV Ag Combo Diagnostic Test for Cats (10 tests)
FeLV Ag + FIV Ab Rapid Diagnostic Test
The FeLV Ag + FIV Ab test is used for the simultaneous detection of antibodies against the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and antigens of the feline leukemia virus (FeLV) in serum, plasma, or whole blood samples.
FeLV is a highly contagious, oncogenic virus that causes both neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases.FIV, like FeLV, weakens a cat’s immune system, increasing its susceptibility to infections. Both viruses cause similar clinical symptoms, such as weakness, fever, and weight loss.
Infection is confirmed by detecting FeLV antigen or FIV antibodies.FeLV antigen appears approximately 3 weeks after infection, while FIV antibodies appear about 4 weeks.A rapid test using monoclonal antibodies and the FIV protein is an effective and rapid diagnostic tool.
Test parameters:
FIV sensitivity: 94.90%
FIV specificity: 97.40%
FIV accuracy: 96.60%
