QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT Each 0.5-mL pipette contains: Fipronil 50.00 mg, (S)-methoprene 60.00 mg.Each 0.67-ml pipette contains 67.00 mg of fipronil and 60.30 mg of (S)-methoprene.Each 1.34-ml pipette contains 134.00 mg of fipronil and 120.60 mg of (S)-methoprene.Each 2.68-ml pipette contains 268.00 mg of fipronil and 241.20 mg of (S)-methoprene.Each 4.02-ml pipette contains 402.00 mg of fipronil and 361.80 mg of (S)-methoprene.
INDICATIONS This veterinary medicinal product is intended for the control of flea infestations or mixed infestations involving ticks and/or lice.Treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp..).Insecticidal activity against new infestations of adult fleas lasts for 4 weeks in cats and 8 weeks in dogs.This product prevents fleas from reproducing by inhibiting the development of their eggs (ovicidal action) as well as their larvae and pupae (larvicidal action) that hatch from eggs laid by adult fleas.This effect lasts for 6 weeks in cats and 8 weeks in dogs after administration.Treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Dermacentor reticulatus (does not apply to cats), Rhipicephalus sanguineus).The acaricidal effect of the veterinary medicinal product lasts up to 2 weeks in cats and 4 weeks in dogs after administration.Treatment of lice infestations (Felicola subrostratus—in cats, Trichodectes canis—in dogs).A veterinary medicinal product may be used to alleviate the clinical signs of allergic flea dermatitis (AFD).For ferrets: This product is intended to treat infestations caused exclusively by fleas or mixed infestations involving ticks.Flea Control (Ctenocephalides spp..).The insecticidal effect against new infestations of adult fleas lasts for 4 weeks.This product prevents fleas from reproducing by inhibiting the development of their eggs (ovicidal action) as well as their larvae and pupae (larvicidal action) that hatch from eggs laid by adult fleas.Tick Control (Ixodes ricinus).As shown by experimental data, the acaricidal activity of the veterinary medicinal product persists for 4 weeks after administration.
CONTRAINDICATIONS Due to a lack of adequate data, this veterinary medicinal product should not be used in puppies and kittens younger than 8 weeks of age and/or in kittens weighing less than 1 kg.This veterinary medicinal product should not be used in ferrets younger than 6 months.Do not use in sick animals (e.g., systemic diseases, febrile conditions) or during convalescence.Do not use in rabbits, as the product may cause adverse events or even lead to death.Due to a lack of adequate studies, the use of this veterinary medicinal product in species other than the target species is not recommended.Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients.Veterinary medicinal product for dogs: The composition of this veterinary medicinal product is formulated for administration to dogs.Do not give this to cats or ferrets, as it may lead to an overdose.
